Wake Up

Wake up Sid. Sid needs to wake up for sure, but apart from him, there are many others as well who needs to have a good look at themselves and try to wake up from their slumber before its too late. So, wake up Mr. Johar, its good to be humble, but to bow down and creep at the very first opportunity is something which I am very sure even you would not be proud of. Mumbai is mumbai, and nor bombay, so Wake Up from colonial hangover for once and start calling city what it really is. Playing in hands of people who make their careers by inciting people's emotions is a dangerous game to play. So, better Wake up and all the best for you next work "My Name is Khan". I hope after the release you don't have to go to more doorsteps with your sorry, to make sure your movie runs in movie halls.

Wake up Mumbai. City of dreams, fast turning into City of goons. D company is still there, but nowits time for R company I believe. Lathi/swords welding people on prowl to defend the integrity of Marathi Manoos. Shivaji Maharaj would be cursing everyone of us to no end after seeing this. Maharashtra, the land of Maratha's, the hope of an entire nation during 1700's and the only bastion of warriors who defended integrity of this country from Britishers. Is Maharasthra today so weak and intolerant, that at every opportunity, we need herds of goons swamping through malls, cinema halls, beating people up and destroying property, to defend your integrity. Remember who you are, Shivaji Maharaj was a true Rajput, as true Maratha, and so are we, remember the Rajput custom of defending your earth, but not from your people. We all are Indians, not marathi, not mallu, not bihari and not bhaiya. We all are bonded together by a bond, bond of brotherhood, bond of trust and bond of nationality.

Don't let people tell you that goons and vandalism is your best hope to save your culture and save your integrity. Open doors of your heart to people, make them understand your culture, be inclusive and I am sure nobody is so adamant as not to see and respect the wonderful culture's of yours. Remember what Shivaji Maharaj stands for and be a true Marathi Manoos. Somebody told me in my childhood and the thing remained with me till now, "we all are human first and then we are hindu, muslim, sikhs etc.". So, be a Manoos first and I am sure a true Manoos would never need an adjective before him like "Marathi/malyali/bihari" Manoos. We all are Manoos first, cheer to that :).

I totally agree with you on this .. It is indeed a shame that we are forgetting to be good humans first. The time has come for our generation to wake up and realise that such political parties are only fighting for their cause not the people's cause. Let us understand our duty to ourself, family, work, society, country - in this hierarchy. While doing this we cannot deviate on the basis of caste or religion !!
